Program

Bill Thrall of Leadership Catalyst, and author of The Ascent of a Leader, will speak directly to the character issues of shepherding well. The focus of attention will be aimed squarely at the role of elder/shepherd as a catalyst for health, change, growth and multiplication.

We are asking you to seriously consider bringing your entire elder/leader team as we allow God to speak directly to us regarding our privilege of being examples to the flock.

Location

The beautiful Semiahmoo Resort is nestled on the northern Puget Sound shoreline in Blaine, Washington. Overlooking Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor, Semiahmoo offers a multitude of resort activities in an exceptional setting.

Ministry Couples

Unique to this year’s conference will be luncheons Tuesday and Wednesday at noon for ministry couples to meet with Bill Thrall and his wife, Grace. They will discuss the principles Bill is teaching during the main sessions and their specific application within our marriages. We believe this is an incredibly valuable opportunity; therefore these luncheons are complimentary for the ministry couples who attend. We ask that you attend both luncheons, as the second builds upon the first.

Cost

The Conference registration fee is $137.00 per person.

Dear Pastor:

Our next CB Northwest Annual Enrichment Conference is scheduled March 3-6, 2008 at the beautiful Semiahmoo Resort on the Northern Washington coast. The focus of attention will be aimed squarely at the role of elder/shepherd as a catalyst for health, change, growth and multiplication. We are asking you to seriously consider bringing your entire elder/leader team as we allow God to speak to us regarding our privilege of being examples to the flock.

One of our primary communicators will be Bill Thrall from Leadership Catalyst, who will speak directly to the character issues of shepherding well. As always, we will seek rest, dialog and refreshment while being stimulated to lead our covenant community of churches in the Kingdom work Jesus has given us.

Why are we giving you this information so early? Two reasons:

One, Semiahmoo Resort is a new location, further away from some of you than previous sites. It may require creative planning to get there – some carpooling, perhaps. Like Skamania Lodge, everything is under one roof – hotel rooms, restaurants, conference rooms. This is the only other resort facility in Oregon or Washington that can handle a group our size.
Second, some churches have asked for an estimate of the cost of attending so that they can budget for the conference. The registration cost will be $137.00 per person. The hotel rooms are about $113.00 per night (including taxes).

So the cost for a couple would be:

$339.00 Hotel

$274.00 Registration (includes ONE meal – the Wednesday night banquet)

$613.00 Total for Hotel and Registration

Additional monies for food and travel should be budgeted, as well.
