2012 Annual Enrichment Conference
March 5-7, 2012
at Seaside Convention Center
Mission: A Family on the Move
Dear Pastors and Elders,

It is my privilege to facilitate the covenant community family during our Annual Enrichment Conference March 5-7, 2012 at Seaside, Oregon. Our yearly family celebration has become known as an event that is spiritually transforming, relationally engaging and strategically purposeful. I would like to invite you to come and participate with the covenant community as we engage with one another around the theme, "Mission: A Family on the Move." A key passage of scripture that relates to this year’s theme is Matthew 16:18, "...God will build his church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." We also understand from Acts 1:8 that in building His church we take ministry to our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth.
This conference should be highly engaging, forward thinking and will ultimately stimulate all of us to a deeper missional expression. A number of presenters will be giving us examples and teaching us how to better examine local church ministry and ministry in our covenant community that touches not only our like culture, but the diversity of culture that is near us. We will also look at how we minister to cultures far away that may or may not be like us. As we, a family of covenant community churches, engage in ministries around the world, we desire to discover the many ways that we are connected to one another in our mission outreach.
Some of the categories that we will be looking at are:
- What is 'mission'?
- What is our historic missional footing?
- How did you arrive at your conviction for mission to your Jerusalem?
- What's it like to get an existing church back on mission?
- Mission in a mobile home park.
- Mission from the saddle.
- Mission to the downtown.
- What does being missional look like in your church?
It is my prayer that when we look back on AEC 2012, it will have been a watershed moment in the advancing of the Gospel through the CB churches around the Northwest.
