How to Contribute: Money and Time

Many times the cost to help a church move towards health exceeds the margin and expertise of a sister church. The covenant community has worked together to offer collaborative expert help through the CBNW office. The ability to offer these services (coaching, restructuring, placement, church planting, etc.) is dependent on churches giving money to their sister churches through the CBNW office. Whether you choose to regularly support CBNW or make a one-time gift, you can be assured that you are helping the churches of the NW be a healthy light of the gospel.

How to contribute money

Down through the centuries, the Great Commandment and the Great Commission have become the heartbeat and the marching orders for Christ's Church. The local churches affiliated with CB Northwest, not only have the joy and challenge of seeking to fulfill these instructions from our Lord in their local communities, but also the unique privilege of joining forces with sister churches across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska in multiplying impact and ministry for the cause of Christ. We hope you've enjoyed exploring the many and varied crucial resources available to our CB Northwest churches as you've viewed our website.

One expression of our covenant community relationship is serving the King with our collective gifts, talents, abilities, and resources.

Here are some of the dynamic ways in which you can join our covenant community vision and mission through your financial investment:

  • Seeing people enjoy God and the life He has given us in Christ through learning to know and grow in Him at Camp Tadmor
  • Joyfully accepting responsibility for assisting Christ's servants in need through our Reachout (Benevolent) Fund
  • Advancing the Kingdom by establishing and mobilizing new families of actively participating believers through Church Planting
  • Providing relevant ministries to targeted language and cultural groups through Language Ministries
  • Networking resources for strategic success by undergirding total ministry focus Where Most Needed

Once you've selected the ministry investment you'd like to make, simply click here to give online or send a check made payable to CB Northwest to 13504 NE 84th St Ste 103-264, Vancouver, WA 98682. On the memo line, write one of the ministries highlighted above to let us know where you'd like to direct your contribution. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

There are many ways for you to give of your time and expertise to serve the covenant community. Countless hours are "exchanged" between CB churches that work through existing relationships, geographically proximity or shared initiatives (camps, church plants, etc.). To encourage increased relationships and leverage the depth of talents within CB churches, we have listed some ways that you can jump in and help.

How to volunteer your time

  1. Volunteer at Camp Tadmor
  2. Help staff a gathering event
  3. Help with administrative work
  4. Become an interim pastor

Join the Mission of Tadmor

Tadmor is a 225 acre platform for the gospel that is visited daily by people seeking refuge, renewal, and communion with their Savior. The staff at Tadmor is dedicated to maintaining a beautiful sanctuary void of distractions and full of reminders of the glory of God. The act of caring for camp is an act of service to the church and worship of our God, which it is a privilege to be a part of.

Help Staff a Gathering Event

Each gathering event that we do takes a devoted staff (paid and volunteer) to pull it off. They have to see the value of serving the greater body of churches. Currently, Team Barnabas is the main way to serve at an event.

Team Barnabas members are the support staff that make Winter Youth Celebration happen successfully. The name Barnabas, from the bible, means encourager. We ask the team to serve the event by praying and being available to do anything that a church might need. They will also help give directions to people (to breakout rooms, etc) and they help with logistics (room set-ups and clean-up after the event). You must be 19 years old and/or one full year out of high school to serve. The application for Team B can be downloaded here.

If you are interested in serving at any of the other gathering events, please email Shirley Radford at [email protected].

Help with Administrative Work

There are a hand full of times each year where we could use, well, a hand. For every event we put on, we send out information to our entire mailing list of churches. We can always use some help in the preparation and packing of these mailings. This is a great service project for your churches small groups, youth group or someone that you are discipling. Contact Shirley Radford at [email protected] for more information.

Become an Interim Pastor

CB Northwest assists churches in finding interim pastors and pulpit supply in a variety of situations. If you are interested in serving churches as an interim or you are available for pulpit supply please click here to fill out the appropriate forms.
