CONVERGENCE SHEPHERDING SYMPOSIUM

Is your church equipped to address the changing world around you?

January 12, 2018, 1-4 PM at CB Northwest Office

The Gospel Ministry in an Intercultural Context

How the Gospel addresses cultural Guilt, Shame, and Fear

To be effective in sharing the Gospel in our diverse world, multiethnic and multicultural churches are faces with the unique challenge of addressing guilt, shame, and fear across subgroups. Realizing the differences in the way individual cultures orient to these sin issues is critical to developing and embracing a robust understanding of the Gospel.

How can we be aware of and prepared to address Anglo cultures that wrestle with guilt, Asian and Latino cultures that are influenced by shame, and other cultures that are dominated by fear?

This Shepherding Symposium will provide tools for engaging in cross-cultural dynamics which will facilitate our ability to communicate the Gospel faithfully.
